Why Blackridge

Walk-through first

Every job starts with us on-site, walking your glass in person so the spec matches the building.

Specified per pane

We don't put the same film on every window. Each pane gets matched to orientation, glass type, and what you need it to do.

One crew, start to finish

The team that surveys your glass is the team that installs the film. No handoffs, no subcontractors.

Frequent Questions

What clients ask about reflective film.

Will my windows look mirrored from inside?

+

Not if we spec a dual-reflective film, which is what we do on most residential and yacht work. Dual-reflective gives you privacy and heat rejection from outside without the cold mirror look at night from inside. Single-reflective silver films do have that interior mirror effect, so we only use them where the owner specifically wants it.

How much can this reduce my cooling bill?

+

Most clients see 15 to 30% on cooling-driven costs, depending on orientation and glass type. The premium dual-reflective we spec rejects up to 60% of total solar energy and 81% of infrared, which are the biggest drivers of interior heat gain in South Florida.

Will it work with low-e glass?

+

Yes, if it's specified correctly. Some reflective films on the wrong low-e units can cause thermal stress and break the glass. We verify the pane spec during the site survey before recommending anything. The films we use are rated for low-e compatibility.

One walk-through. A complete specification.
