The film spec, handled.
Privacy without curtains, UV without yellowing, security without bars. Specified pane by pane, installed by the same crew every time, so the design intent stays intact.
Specified for the way you actually work.
Three things the custom builders & designers we work with tell us matter most. We built the engagement around them.
- 01
Aesthetic control
The wrong film shifts reflectance, hue, and clarity. The architectural grades we install are specified to disappear into the glazing. The facade reads the way the renderings did.
- 02
Single point of accountability
One installer. One spec sheet. One person you call. The install is never subcontracted, and the survey-to-quote conversation runs through a single point of contact.
- 03
A timeline that respects yours
Walk-through to firm quote within one week. Install scheduled within two of approval. We sequence around your trim, millwork, and final-clean, not the other way around.
Four grades, one crew.
Architectural-grade films only. Each grade specified pane by pane after a walk-through. The same crew installs on every project, whether the spec is one bathroom or a whole residence.
Solar & heat rejection
West-facing walls, glass curtain walls, oceanfront orientations. Spectrally-selective films that hold visible clarity while pulling solar load off the HVAC.
UV protection
More than 99% UV rejection for Calacatta, walnut, leather, textile, and fine art. Specified for art-collecting clients and for stone the architect chose at the slab yard.
Frosted & decorative
Privacy without the cost of sandblasted glass. Custom gradients, banded patterns, and full-frost — applied to the existing glazing rather than etched into it.
Security & anti-shatter
Ground-floor primary suites, executive residences, marine vessels. Multi-ply laminates that hold glass in the frame under impact, forced entry, or storm debris.
Hollywood, Florida studio. Architectural-grade films only. Built inside The Auto Lab Florida, where ten-plus years of glass and film discipline transferred straight into residential work.
The questions we get on every introduction call.
- Will it change the look of the glass?
- Specified correctly, no. We sample-pane on site, hold the film against the glass in the actual light of the room, and choose the grade that matches the design intent. The films we install are engineered to read as glass, not as tint.
- Does film install affect the window manufacturer warranty?
- In nearly every case, no. The films we use are compatible with laminated impact glazing. If the windows are under an active manufacturer warranty, we confirm compatibility in writing with the manufacturer before any work starts.
- Can you install during the trim phase, or do you need a clean site?
- Either. We prefer to come in after final clean for the 90-day glazing cure to start in a finished space. If your sequence calls for film during trim, we coordinate dust control and stage around the rest of the punch list.
- Do you carry insurance for high-rise and waterfront properties?
- Yes. Two million general liability, workers' comp on every crew member. Certificates issued to the GC, the architect, or the homeowner, named exactly the way your master spec calls for.
- Can the homeowner add to the spec after the project closes out?
- Yes. We keep the original spec on file. New work is matched to the original films so the home reads as one project, not a patchwork of changes over time.
